It enjoys prominence due to its geographical location on a bay, making it the financial capital of the country. .It is spread over 3,530 km and locally known as the "City of Lights" as well as the "City of the Quaid" because it is the birth and burial place of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Places of Interest: The Quaid's Masuoluem, the Wazir Mansion, Bohri Bazar, Empress Market, The National Museum,Mangho Pir Shrine,; also the Necropolis at Makli, the world's largest graveyard of Sindh's past rulers; Haleji Lake etc.
