The spectacular light, the dramatic landscape and the colourful way of life has always attracted artists to Lofoten. Fishing is one of many activities offered to visitors. There are good boat connections to other parts of Lofoten and the mainland

| Friendliness of Staff: we've seen a few members of the staff. Most of them were friendly, but one was very unfriendly to the guests.
Cleanliness: everything was very clean, except the kitchen was quite dirty. And in the fridge, a lot of food was mouldy. | ||

| This is typically a dormitory room - bunk beds are normal, and shared bathrooms are typical. For the region, this a probably a great bargain. Breakfasts were very good, with a good selection. It appeared that native Norweigns used this hostel for their overnight stays, which probably speaks to the cost and quality. For the price, I'd expect more, but this is Norway, and Norway is expensive. | ||

| We stayed in a private room ensuite in the renovated part of the hotel. Very nice. Good value for money considering the prices in the area. | ||

| My room was double-booked so I was upgraded "free of charge". After first night (of two), the receptionist asked me if I wanted to switch to regular double room. I said no (switching rooms, obviously, is a pain in the butt and it was already 8PM) and when I checked out, he charged me the higher price for the second night. I refused to pay it, then he withheld the deposit I had made on line AFTER I SPECIFICALLY REMINDED HIM ABOUT IT. When I came back and pointed this out, he claimed that he was charging me for towels that I hadn't asked for and didn't match the deposit amount anyway. It was really weird. | ||

| There should be direction signs in town on how to get to the hostel from the town bus stop. | ||
