Angermanland is strongly associated with the High Coast and Köpmanholmen located in the heart of Örnsköldsvik archipelago. From Köpmanholmen take archipelago boat out to one of the many islands of the archipelago or enjoying the tranquility.
An excellent outing is Ulvön, for several centuries a hub of the fishing industry and the cradle of fermented herring. Sandviken Ulvön is a three hundred-year fishing village and then a couple of years declared as a cultural reserve.
