The Pathpoint Cologne Backpacker Hostel is a new, modern backpacker hostel, located in a former church building in the centre of Cologne and is only a five minute walk from the Central train station and 20 minutes for Cologne/Bonn airport. Close by to the hostel you will find the famous cathedral of Cologne and the old town, which is full of restaurants, bars, museums and shops, as well as the Rhine River.

Pathpoint Cologne hostel is a perfect starting point to explore the city and then return to a clean, safe place to stay. The reception is open 24 hours with welcoming, friendly staff who are ready to help you out with any information you might need during your stay. Hostel check-in is a 3pm. All rooms are equipped with shower, WC and individual lockers. Towels are available to hire for €1. For €4 you can enjoy an all you can eat breakfast!

Bus:The international bus station is located right next to the central train station, from there 5 min walk (400 m).
Metro:"Dom/Hauptbahnhof" and "Breslauer Platz/Hauptbahnhof" stops are 400 m walking distance, U 5, 16 and 18 stop there
Parking:No free parking in the area; our guests can use the free parking at Cologne Riehl Youth Hostel (9 min by underground from central station).
Sea port:The River Rhine piers are located in the Old Town of Cologne (1 km from hostel)
Location:Central Train, Tram and Bus station (Köln Hbf): 400 m. Airport Cologne-Bonn: 13 km. Old town Cologne with restaurants and bars: 1 km. Rhine River: 1 km. Cologne Dom (cathedral): 800 m. Sightseeing and museums: 1 km. Shopping: 850 m.
Rail:From Cologne central station, exit “Breslauer Platz”, turn left and walk 400m towards Turiner Straße. The hostel’s entrance is on Turiner Straße opposite Savoy Hotel.
Airport:From Cologne-Bonn Airport take S13 train to Cologne Central Station (Köln Hbf), approx. 15 min.

This hostel had everything I wanted out of a hostel. It was close to the train station and other sites, had a self-serve kitchen, free lockers, laundry capabilities, and was overall very nice.

The toilet in my bathroom is very dirty that no one will dare to use it!!! Shouldn't it be cleaned every single day? Disgusting!!!

We are sorry that you have experienced this. Our standard is to keep not only our rooms but also the shower and toilet facilities always clean. Once a day rooms and toilet/shower will be thoroughly cleaned by our staff. However, if someone messed up the toilet facilities thereafter (which can always happen in a 8 bed dorm for example) our guests are welcome to come to the reception 24 hours a day to seek help. It was a nice stay the staff helpful and kind, the room and facilities were very good. One comment I will make for practicality is that while it was still relatively comfortable the mattress was likely getting near to the end its life.

I enjoyed my stay. as long as I have a clean, quiet room with Wi-Fi I'm good. additionally, the water pressure is great, the food was amazingly yummy and the staff supportive and helpful.
