Easy to access from Narita and Haneda Int'l Airport, and also main sightseeing spots. For example, from our nearst station Asakusabashi , you can get to Tokyo station, Ueno, Ginza within 10minutes, 20minutes to Shinjuku, 30minutes to Shibuya, Harajuku, 40minutes to Odaiba, Tokyo Big Site, Tokyo Disney Resort, 1hour to Kamakura. Akihabara electric town, Asakusa temple, Ryogoku Sumo arena are within walking distance. You can even go 1day trip to Nikko, Hakone or Mt.Fuji area if you don't have enough time to stay there. Our friendly, helpful staffs are looking forward to seeing you in this cozy Japanese style hostel with 'tatami' rooms!

*****Please check your flight schedule before confirming your booking. To keep our check in/out time, your international flight to/from Narita must arrive before 9:00pm, depart after 9:30am. Also flight to/from Haneda must arrive before 9:30pm, depart after 8:00am.

*****The prices both for dormitory beds and private rooms on this site is for HI-members. Non-member will be charged additional 600 Japanese Yen non-member fee per night per person, or can purchase membership card at our reception for 2,800 Yen.

Location:After leaving Asakusabashi station (East exit of JR, A3 exit of subway), cross the road then walk along EDO street (Route 6) to the left (to the North, for Asakusa). After passing Seven-Eleven (convenience store), you will find a Chinese Restaurant with red sign board at the 2nd corner. Turn to the right there, and walk in a zigzag following 'YOUTH HOSTEL' sign on utility pole (telegragh pole). CAUTION!! 'Asakusa' station is 2 stops away from Asakusabashi station so please don't mix them up!
Rail:500m JR Asakusabashi Station ( JR Sobu line ) East exit
Airport:*****90minutes by train from NARITA Airport***** Take Keisei line ( NOT Skyliner express ) to Aoto station ( about 60 minutes from Airport ). Then change to Keisei Oshiage line ( connect to Asakusa line ) for Nishi-magome, Haneda Airport. Asakusabashi is 9th station, about 15 minutes from Aoto. (1,060 yen), Or if you have JR Railway Pass, take JR NARITA Express to Tokyo station ( about 60 minutes ). From Tokyo station take JR Yamanote line for Ueno ( track #4 on the ground floor ) to Akihabara ( 2nd station ) then change to Sobu line for Chiba ( track #6 ). Asakusabashi is next to Akihabara. ( 2,940 yen ) *****45 minutes by train from HANEDA Airport***** Take Keikyu line to Sengakuji then change to Toei Asakusa Subway line to Asakusabashi. Keikyu line has some destinations and also some trains are direct train to Asakusabashi. So please ask the station staff which train to take. ( 590 yen ) *****IBARAKI Airport***** 35 min. bus (600yen) to JR Ishioka station and 110 min. train (1450yen) to Asakusabashi station. (JR Joban line to Ueno, Yamanote line to Akihabara, then Sobu line to Asakusabashi.)

The personal locker was not big enough for my luggage, whereas in other hostels the locker is big enough.

I have seen some negative comments on this hostel I think the people making them expect to have the same condition as you would get at the Hotel Seiyo Ginza, (210000yen) a night. I have stayed in this hostel on 6 different trips to Tokyo & have always found the staff friendly and helpful. the location is great.

The dinner room is impressive! Many interesting books are on the bookself. People are much fewer than any youth hostel in Europe I think!
