The hostel in itself is very nice, with a nice garden. The rooms are nice and pretty convenient. But it is very far in Stryn. The staff was not nice and not efficient to give tips about the city (notably where we could go to have a picnic where we could also drink alcohol because it is not allowed at the hotel).

Hostel response:
thank you for your comment. We were pretty clear in the check in, what is the alcohol regulation, not only in the hostel, but also in Norway as a country. Also you had the chance to barbeque in the garden, and not inside Stryn which is also forbidden. Hope you had a safe journey back home.

It is a very good hostel, new, cleaned, great breakfast, free bikes, friendly staff... It's only a little bit far from city center!

I want to especially thank Bruno, the receptionist, who picked us up at the bus station, and saved us from walking to the hostel while it was raining. Than, after check in, he kindly brought to our room some hot tea, a nice remedy for cold weather.

Concerning the building, it is a very typical hostel, not less, not more. The breakfast is included and wonderful ! We had the opportunity to be driven to the bus station by the staff of the hostel, which was really nice !

Hostel response:
Thanks for your comment, it was a pleasure having you here.

First visit to an youth hostel in many years -- very impressed with professinalism and helpfulness of staff, quality of facility. Signed on for a hostel-led trip to a nearby glacier. Staffed were very informative, very safety-conscious and very enjoyable to talk with.

Hostel response:
Thank you very much for the review, it was very good to have you and your son here. Loved our talk/walk in the glacier. What about the strawberry cake?? :)
