Prague Hostel Downtown is located right in the centre of Prague, about 5 min walk from Old Town and Wenceslas Squares. We offer private rooms as well as dorms and ensuite dorms. The reception is open 24 hours, friendly and fluent English-speaking staff is waiting for you, with information service about Prague and the Czech Republic. Lockers in the rooms, free internet, free wifi in the whole building. Big kitchen inside of our common room is a great place to meet other travellers and we believe that the right hostel‘s atmosphere can be expected there. Common room includes a piano and a guitar which you can play as much as you want or you can just lie down on our sofa and listen other musicians. Free map of Prague, luggage storage. All the rooms have been redecorated and all the furniture is new. It's a 5 minute walk to Charles Bridge, 5 minutes walk to Wenceslas Square.

What is new at hostel Downtown? We have reconstructed showers on the second floor, so there is no problem with cold water and also the problem with pressing the button many times is fixed. :-)And also we have built NEW SHOWER at the female dormitory, so there is ladies shower just by this room. And to all female shower we add hair dryer, so it is much more comfortable for all girls staying with us :-)And the last point, we have 3 new ensuite rooms on 5th floor and one of them has wonderful view on Prague Castle… so enjoy them :-)

Directions

Bus:	From Florenc Bus Station Take the underground - line B (yellow) - from the 'Florenc' station to the 'Mustek' station (2 stops). Get off and walk about 150 metres to Narodni Trida. You will see us approx. 50m behind KFC.
Metro:	"Mustek" - B line At the "Mustek" underground station take the escalator to exit the subway, not to change lines. Follow signs to Narodni Trida. When you'll get on the ground you will be in a short street named - 28. rijna - walk this street to its end and you will find yourself at Narodni Trida street. Go on and you will reach the hostel after 2 minutes walking. You will see KFC - we are 50m behind it, you will see the hostel on your right hand side. Hostel Downtown. Please, ring the bell on the left side of the entrance.

Location:	Old Town City Centre 4 minutes walk from 'Mustek' station - underground stop of 'B' line. 1 minute walk from 'Narodni Trida' or 'Narodni Divadlo (National Theatre)' tram stops (tram no.6,9,18,22 or night trams no.53,57,58)
Rail:	From the main Railway Station Take the underground - line C (red) - from the 'Hlavni nadrazi' station to the 'Florenc' station (1stop), there change for line B (yellow) and go 2 stops to 'Mustek' station. From Holesovice Railway Station Take the underground - line C (red) - from the 'Nadrazi Holesovice' station to the 'Florenc' station (2 stops), there change for line B (yellow) and go two stops to the 'Mustek' station.
Airport:	From the airport Take a bus Nr. 119 to the 'Dejvicka' station. From there take the underground - line A (green) -to the Mustek station(4 stops), get off and walk about 150 metres to Narodni Trida. You will see us approx. 50m after KFC.

Very helpful staff. Not enough hot water in the shower, but everything else was fine. Hostel response: Dear Bruce, thanks a lot for your comment. The receptionist did not allow me to use my member discount. I thought it was then pointless to offer the membership in the first place... The first night I was there a guy staying in the hostel robbed a girl's wallet. I thought the staff didn't seem very bothered by it.

Absolutely amazing hostel!! Had organised group activities so a really good way to meet cool people. The staff were really friendly and fun, helpful and had lots of good suggestions for things to do in Prague. The free breakfast was great as was the free tea.

We found the staff to be fantastic and the location just as good. The room was a little noisy as we were in the front of the hostel, we would go definitely go back again as our experience there was great.
