Customer Reviews Istanbul - Sultan Hostel

| The Sultan Hostel in Istanbul is one of my favourites. They have HI’s best ever breakfast, even for a vegetarian, and several staff members remembered me,after more than three years’ absence. Both because of hospitality and location, they are rightly classified
a HI heritage hostel.

| Very clean. I wish it provided a few hooks or hangers for clothes so everything wouldn't end up on the floor. We all had to ask for a towel; it wasn't offered. Breakfast was simple, but certainly adequete. Room was quiet too. I was extremely disappointed that the terrace had been closed and this attraction is still listed on the website as something special. I picked this hostel over the others just because of the so-called view. Please correct your website. Otherwise, this hostel certainly gives value for your money. | ||

| We were very pleased with our stay at HI Sultan Hostel. The staff are the highlight at SH, with the bar/breakfast and the reception staff in particular providing excellent cutstomer service, including good humour!
We stayed in a double bedroom for 15 days and though the room was not the best double in the hostel, it suited our purpose and stay as it was very quiet, clean and secure.
Hostel facilities were fine, with sufficient shared shower and toilet facilities available for each floor's occupants. There was one day with water and electrical problems, however these were managed well and fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
Breakfast is basic, however it is fresh and there is flexibility for all to make it to breakfast if needed.
Overall, a safe and secure place to spend a few days in Instanbul, with good value for money considering the excellent location for the nearby sights and sounds of the city. | ||

| It's not a bad hostel but it need some improvements. First of all the friendliness of the reception guys, they should be kinder... The showers should have curtains, each bed should have it's power point and bed clothes should be changed because they are kind of worn. However the restaurant staff is really helpful and the hostel is really well located. | ||
