We cannot accept people under 18 years old, even with a letter from their parents. Modern, comfortable and welcoming, the Biarritz Youth Hostel has been awarded the Hostelling International Quality Assurance Certificate. Ideally located, right next to the ocean, at the foot of the Pyreneans, at the doorstep of Spain, the hostel is a warm stop, famous among Santiago de Compostela’s pilgrims, surfers and hikers. Accommodation in 2 &4 bedded rooms (4 - 16 bedded rooms in July and August). Laundry, members’ kitchen for individuals (15 September – 15 June, cafeteria from 15 June to 15 September) and half-board or full board for groups, all year round. Fully equipped meeting rooms. What about taking ZE BUS to get to Biarritz? From June 18th to September 20th, take the bus and discover Western France, its touristic sites, its surf spots and parties and festivals... hopping from one hostel to another and with absolute freedom... MANY PILGRIMS HAVE A STOP AT THE YH BEFORE STARTING THE COASTAL PATH, ALSO CALLED "EL CAMINO FRANCES", LEADING TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA. HI Q IS THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION QUALITY LABEL, WHICH ENABLES OUR MEMBERS TO ENJOY A CONSTANT QUALITY LEVEL IN ALL THE HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL NETWORK YOUTH HOSTELS. THE BIARRITZ HOSTEL COMPLIES WITH THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION REQUIREMENTS AND WAS AWARDED THE QUALITY LABEL IN MAY 2005. IT WAS THE THIRD HOSTEL IN THE WORLD BEING AWARDED THIS LABEL. ON SITE: BIKE RENTAL, INTERNET ACCESS, LAUNDRY. For you own safety, you will find in your bedroom an individual lockable closet for your valuables, and in summer, in dorms, you can use lockers (locks on sale at the reception). Under 18s are not allowed to stay in the hostel, even with a letter from their parents or legal guardians. We don't accept families from 15 June to 15 September.
