Hostel Details

We have a capacity for 148 people in single, 2- and 4-bedded rooms, all with en suite shower/WC. Large lobby with reception, dining room, bistro, café/bar, snack area, children’s play area… For general and music courses or workshops we have 12 common and meeting rooms for 8 to 60 people that can be combined to a hall for 180 people. Facilities include projectors, big screen, pin board, flipchart, lectern, Metaplan board, presentation equipment, TV, DVD player, VCR, CD player, sound system, Internet (DSL and IDSN connection), WiFi-Hotspot, piano and conference service (printer, photocopier, fax, transparency printer). Leisure facilities inside include board games and Internet terminal and table tennis; outside there is a playing field for ball games, including basket ball, and a children’s playground.

Family rates: Children up to the age of 2 free of charge, children 3 -14 years of age 50 % reduction on total price. Group rates: For groups of 20 persons or more and a minimum stay of 2 nights including full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools 2 € reduction per person per night. Full board and other catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses and workshops, music groups and choirs, holiday, cycling and walking groups as well as individual travellers.

We also have wheelchair accessible rooms.

Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, the town with two faces, lies in the heart of Germany’s red wine country. Historical Ahrweiler has beautiful half-timbered houses, narrow streets and ancient buildings surrounded by well preserved towered walls in contrast to the lively spa town of Bad Neuenahr with its many medicinal and spa facilities.

Sports and leisure: sports centre and grounds, football, handball, basket ball, hockey, boules, golf, crazy golf, family leisure pool, heated outdoor swimming pool, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, fitness track, barbecue huts, bike rental, bowling… Attractions: Walporzheim vineyards and cellars, Roman villa and guided tour of archaeological site in Ahrweiler, Ahrweiler Old Town. Tours: Sightseeing in Bonn, Parliament, leisure park, Rhine meadows, Beethoven House, 22 museums, Poppelsdorf Castle, Nürburgring race course and leisure park, Maria Laach Monastery, Lake Laach and St Winfried Natural History Museum, Volcano Parks Brohltal and Osteifel, sightseeing in Koblenz, Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and Museum, Sightseeing in Cologne, Ludwig Art Gallery, zoo, Chocolate Museum, Phantasialand Leisure Park Brühl, boat trips on the Rhine, Rhenish Open Air Museum Kommern, nature reserve and summer toboggan run in Altenahr, archery etc. The Ahr Valley boasts excellent cycle routes towards Adenau as well as in the direction of Sinzig on the Rhine; bike rental in town, mountain bike tracks etc.

Location:	The hostel is in a peaceful river location close to the town centre in the Ahr Valley. It’s only a short walk to the picturesque old town of Ahrweiler as well as shopping centre and spa centre in Bad Neuenahr.
Rail:	Ahrtalbahn train from Remagen to Ahrweiler, from there 15 min walk; luggage transfer by taxi can be arranged.
