Hostel Details

We have a capacity for 128 people in single, 2- and 4-bedded rooms, all with en suite shower/WC. Large lobby with reception, dining room, café/bar, snack area, children’s play area… We have 6 common and meeting rooms for 8 – 65 people that can be combined to a hall for 120 people. Facilities include projectors, big screen, pin board, flipchart, lectern, Metaplan board, presentation equipment, Internet access in the conference room, WiFi HotSpot, TV, DVD player, VCR, CD player, sound system, piano and conference service (printer, photocopier, fax, transparency printer). Leisure facilities inside include board games and Internet terminal, table tennis, table football and pinball machine; outside there is a playing field, campfire area, barbecue area and hut and a large sunbathing lawn.

Family rates: Children up to the age of 2 free of charge, children 3 -14 years of age 50 % reduction on total price. Group rates: For groups of 20 persons or more and a minimum stay of 2 nights including full board 2 persons free of charge. Nursery schools 2 € reduction per person per night. Full board and other catering options available. We welcome families, schools, training courses and workshops, music groups and choirs, holiday, cycling and walking groups as well as individual travellers.

We also have wheelchair accessible rooms.

Bad Marienberg is the only Kneipp hydropathy spa in the Westerwald region. Nature lovers and walkers will enjoy the mountainous forest area with its basalt rocks. There is also an extensive network of cycle paths. Sports and leisure: MarienBad with outdoor swimming pool, double slide, large new “sauna village”, 165 km of footpaths, horse riding, tennis, golf, squash, fitness track, certified Nordic Walking Fitness Park, crazy golf, Tennis, Golf, Squash, fitness track, certified Nordic Walking Fitness Park, crazy golf. Attractions: Basalt Park with power house, game park with adventure playground and miniature motorway, museum of local history in the historical town hall, Pastor Kneipp medicinal herb garden. Tours and destinations: Boat tour and water sports on Wiesensee Lake, mine train in Bindweide mine, Steinebach, operational show mines in Siershahn and Herdorf-Sassenroth, clay quarry, Hachenburg local history museum, brewery, Höhr-Grenzhausen pottery museum, Marienstatt Abby with brewery Greifenstein Castle with bell museum, industrial leisure park Stöffel, bicycle tours (Bad Marienberg - Rennerod - Westerburg - Bad Marienberg) etc. Cycling maps are available at the hostel.
