Altenberg, a traditional mining town with its landmark hollow (a collapsed mine), is situated in the east of the Erzgebirge mountain range, 760 m above sea level. The hostel is located 200m from the town’s outskirts in a wooded area. Close by there are an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, a summer toboggan run, a bobsleigh run, a ski lift and cross-country tracks.
People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.
