| Beds are not comfortable, you sink in unintentionally. Duvet cover needs to be replaced. Smoking is allowed too close to the rooms. | ||

| The beds are pretty bad, you sink in...its not intentional. There is no secure location for your luggage only a small hutch for hand purses.
There is a pool-however small. Its one of 2 hostels listed on this site however there are multiple hostels nearby not associated with this site. The location near 7th street/melville is okay however you have to walk down a dark street to access 7th street. I stayed in a co-ed room the entire stay-not an issue however be prepared to be surrounded by co-eds.

| The staff were friendly and the hostel is in a safe part of Johburg. On request, the owner arranged a pickup for me from the airport, and was keen to assist with questions, taxies, etc. I felt safe walking alone at night in the area (to the nearby restaurants and shops). The hostel is small with a nice pool and outdoor entertaining area.
On the downside, the owner smoked inside the hostel, despite the 'rules' against smoking inside. It wasn't possible to put a lock on the lockers (although it didn't feel necessary given the small size of the hostel). Strangely, the wifi is only until 10pm and I was asked not to use Skype.

| The grounds could use some improvements. Compared to other hostels I stayed at in S. Afruca I would say that this one was at the bottom of my list. It was extremely cold at night and they did provide additional blankets to keep warm. The pool was dirty (I assume since it was winter) they don't have a bar but sold cheap wine on-site. The kitchen had all the amentities and items needed to cook/snack/store items. It took a while to warm up to the staff but once we did they were great! Upon our arrival we felt a little
Pressured to take advantage of travel guide packages. We decided to take advantage of a personal driver for a day that even after feel it was a
Good value. I honestly wouldn't spend more than two days in Johanesburg as S Africa has so many other beautiful places to see and things to do.
