The Jamaica Inn was newly built in 1998 and is a clean, comfortable, centrally heated and secure building. We can accommodate up to 60 people in a mix of private ensuite rooms, family rooms and multi-bed dormitories. We have a self-catering kitchen as well as a 50 seat restaurant where we serve breakfast everyday and evening meals for groups. We have all the usual hostel facilities as well as ample space on the grounds for bus and car parking. The Jamaica Inn is located in the village of Sixmilebridge. Sixmilebridge is a thriving village (pop. 1400) with all village facilities. Visitors should see our award winning library which is a former Church of Ireland church, sympathetically converted. Internet access is freely available to all in the library. The principal attractions in the area are Bunratty Castle and Folk park and Craggaunowen Celtic village. Some of the hidden attractions here are our local folk and traditional music club, the Sunyata Buddist centre, signposted hill walks and our hurling club which is one of the top 4 in Ireland.
