Hostel Details

Hacienda El Carmen is a coffee-growing ranch funded in the 19th century, converted at present in a nice hostel, where you can enjoy beautiful rooms in a quiet and hospitable atmosphere, typical of the Meridian Andes. You can get in contact with nature and with pets, go on excursions in the mountains and the coffee-growing ranchs, horse ride, enjoy a delicious local meal and meet aspects of the agricultural life of the Venezuelan past.

To get to Hacienda El Carmen you can drive or take the bus Mérida-Jají from Ciudad de Mérida, 38km away, which takes 1 hour. There are taxis and public buses from Jají to Hacienda El Carmen, which is located in Aldea La Playa, 2km away via the west of Jají village.
