Storulvån is located at the end of the road – in the middle of the mountain world. Silence and great expanses are right around the corner, where a wonderful mix of ski alpinists, bon vivant and arctic foxes gather, all year round.
‘Sportily relaxed’ someone once said about Storulvån. The lodge’s close proximity to mountains to climb and ski in the winter creates the sporty atmosphere, together with the constant presence of the Syl massif some 20 kilometres away.
The relaxed atmosphere is shown in the warmly greeted mountain lodge and an international kitchen with local roots. Inspiration is taken from Trondheim in the west to the High Coast in the east. Discover lamb, reindeer, char, berries, cheeses, aquavits and other local products.
Since Storulvån Mountain Lodge is accessible by car, it is the starting point for several hikes in Jämtland, Sweden. Storulvån is for an example one of the three stations that’s included in the famous hike called “Jämtlandstriangeln”, that's performed on foot in summer and with cross country skiis in winter. The other two mountain lodges included in the hike is Blåhammaren Mountain Lodge and Sylarna Mountain Lodge, which is also bookable here at Hi Hostel.
