Customer Reviews Ilam YHA

| Good overall. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon leaving the hostel I realised I had left some boxed belongings behind. It took 3 telephone calls on different days to confirm that the box was in the hostel. I asked if my address details could be put onto the box and some old newspaper put into the box to secure contents ready for uplifting by courier. I was assured that this would be done. This did not occur. I thought it prudent to pay for the courier company to print a label and affix it to the box upon uplifting, which proved to be a good move. The box arrived with me with no internal packing and the contents broken. Not a good recommendation for either staff communication and efficiency or good customer relations!! This was not a complex or unusual request and could have been dealt with far more efficiently. A pity, as the stay was very enjoyable. | ||

| Beautiful location! Lovely hostel. Really helpful staff. Nicely decorated.
Only grumble is that breakfast needs modernising - think £5 is a bit steep for naff bread and having to clear up your own plate
Apart from that, great! | ||
