This remarkable hostel in Hervey Bay is situated on eight acres of natural bushland, the Colonial Village YHA offers two full-size tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball hoop, swimming pool, pool table, internet, licensed bar and eatery. Close to Fraser Island, with the ferry terminal and beach nearby.

Really cold as went in Australian winter and no heating. We had a private room which was clean but bathrooms not very clean and quite unpleasant we only stayed two nights and wouldnt have wanted to stay longer. The guides on the front desk were brillant and booked tour fraser Island, got us a free coach to train station in Maryborough which was good.
