| We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is so special and beautiful. It was lovely to relax on the island after visiting the city during the day and the ferry is busy all day even in winter time.Outside it was snow and - 10 C , but the room was warm and good.
Check the kitchen ware, pots and pans. An update is needed.

| My plane was delayed coming in as I ran for the last ferry at 02.20 in the snow I could see the ferry leaving to the Island of Suomenlinna. So I had to sleep on a wooden bench overnight. The hostel use to be an old school in winter it,s warm though your rattling around a bit in winter. In summer it will probabley be a different atmosphere. Most ofthe staff are very friendly and helpful. When you first arrive to the island it,s a lot like something from Lord of the Rings with the lighthouse shining it,s beacon. I love the island and there are plenty of ferry crossings especially in summer. It,s just unfortunate I missed the last one. There is also free internet access and wifi. and a kitchen in the roof. and they supply free cofffe, tea,and herbal teas with hot water in flasks.or you could use the kettle in the upstairs kitchen. | ||

| Exceptional. Great location, very clean, nicely quiet (maybe due to winter), generous and tasty breakfast, wifi, friendly chilled staff, clean hot shower after paddling around Suomenlinna... best hostel ever. | ||

| A separate building on an island with a UNESCO-protected fortress. Spacious rooms, kitchenette with little fridges. Calm and quiet - exactly what you need when you come back from partying in the city centre. One inconvenience (and attraction at the same time) is 15-minute journeys by ferry between the island and the city (in wintertime ferries depart once or twice an hour, the last from the city centre at 2.20am, the first from the island at 6am, more frequent in summer, city transportation tickets are valid also for the ferries). | ||

| The photos for this hostel don't even do it justice. This is probably one of the prettiest places I've ever seen or stayed at. The hostel itself was cute, perfectly clean, and very peaceful. The island of Suomenlinna was absolutely breathtaking. Getting to and from the island is a breeze. I'd definitely stay here again! | ||

| Very big dorm rooms. Showers and Kitchen are OK but can be upgraded.
Located on an island with easy ferry transportation. You can buy the Day Card for the ferry which is valid for 24h.

I think not enough towels, free locks for valuables, tea in the kitchen (instead of pasta) and a little lower price )). In Florence the same hostel is 2 times cheaper. But in general, everything was fine!
greetings, Irin

| A quiet stay off the well-trodden tracks of the Finnish capital. Efficient solutions for late-arrivers despite the rather limited office hours; the comfort of the washrooms is rather poor. | ||

| It is in a beautiful part of Helsinki and is a very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again! | ||
