Youth Hostel, the hostel is in a newly constructed building with both A.C and non A.c.. Bed room as well as dormetories. It is about 5 K.m.s from Har ki Pauri, Which is the most important pious ghat ( River bank). The hostel is very near to Rani pur market. And located in Lush green area. It also offers 20% discount on menu card for Youth Hostel Members.
Haridwar has very rich ancient religious and cultural heritage. It is situated on the right side of the bank of the holy Ganga, and is the point where the river spreads over the northern plains. Associated with both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu, Haridwar is among the seven sacred cities of India. It is also one of the four venues for the Kumbh Mela, held in its magnitude every twelve years. Essentially a religious centre which holds promise of salvation for devotees, Haridwar is also a centre of herbal medicine, and traditional studies at Gurukul Kangri. Haridwar or the Gateway to the Gods is one of the seven holiest places according to Hindu mythology, as the Gods are believed to have left their footprints in Haridwar.
