After just half an hour on the ferry, you are at Hanö in the Blekinge archipelago. Yet it feels like coming to another world when you step ashore on the tiny island of legendary Hanöbukten. Maybe it's because there is no traffic, no noise.
On the fishing location, the houses close together, and this is a summer open restaurant and store. The fishing boats and fishing museum recalls Hanö history as a major fishing port. During summer, the port of sailing yachts from near and far.
For those who want to unwind and get close to nature is Hano right place. Here you can experience the magical moment when the sea suddenly becomes still and the silence is overwhelming, or when the autumn storms sweeping through the island and the sea is wild and beautiful.
Bring a picnic and hike up to Fyrhallarna and meet a colorful sunset. Or, if you are an early riser, so you can see an early morning sun rise from the sea like a giant orange.
Hiking trails are plentiful. One takes you through the enchanted forest to wind Halla, where large flat rocks welcomes you to the exciting seaside resort or a barbecue by the sea.
Another trail takes you through the English cemetery, where the English sailors from the Napoleonic War 1810-1812 are buried, to Bönsäcken, a stone reef with a smooth polished, bean-shaped stone that moves with the wind, and then on down to the fishing situation.
The hostel is located in the former Hano school. It has 30 beds in 7 rooms. There is a shared kitchen and a sauna. In the annex, there are two rooms for those who want to take the dog. Do you want to locate the conference or a party here that's fine.
