| In November this was a good place to stay since the "traffic" was low. In the dorm room, for my 2nd stay of 3 nights, I was the sole occupant. | ||

| Rooms very overheated.Phew! told due to Jamaican residents complaining of the cold, but they should have been advised to wear warmer clothiong. they were gathered in the kitchen area wearing just T shirts. | ||

| The Wi-fi does not work properly in the kitchen. There should be more sings informating guests that they need to clean up after themselves in the kitchen, I believe that it could help to reduce the number dirt dishes . | ||

| The toilet leaked and the courtyard needed a paint job. There was central air, apparently, but the control in the room had broken. The cardboard room keys often failed to work right. No screens on the windows either. The person at the desk upon arrival was super friendly and helpful. Other staff were decent. | ||

| Francois at the front desk should actually get an outstanding! He checked us in, answered our 8 million questions, made some wonderful recommendations on places to eat and things to do. We loved him. Thor, who was on the next 2 days, took awhile to warm up to us but we refused to give up and kept talking to him til he broke! LOL. It was very hot when we were there like 100 F / 33C and Francois was kind enough to put us in a room that had AC. The location was fabulous and we really enjoyed our stay. | ||

| I think that it will be better to be serviced in the restaurant not in pub after 2100 o'clock. | ||

| My stay at HI Winnipeg was great. The only comment or concern I have is with the reception staff, which were somewhat welcoming. I would recommend that they offer or ask if the guest needs guidance on things to do, see, etc while in Winnipeg and that the guest is greeted with a smile to indicate that the reception staff is pleased to receive them as a guest. But other than that, my stay was great! | ||
