Smack dab in the middle of Granville Street's pub and club district, we're one of the newest Vancouver hostels -- and if you're angling for access to all the partying and good times you could want, without compromising on security, comfort, and cleanliness, then we're where you want to be! Our in-the-thick-of-it location makes for the perfect home base while you explore Vancouver. Our hostel has awesome daily tours that'll have you hanging out with travellers from all over the world while you teeter across the Capilano Suspension Bridge or sip a pint on one of our pub crawls.
If you're looking for the fun of a hostel, but still want privacy, you'll love our ensuite private rooms (cable TV included!) and our two-bed dorms. These are our most popular room types, so make sure to book in advance!
A quick word about our kitchen -- our previous guests have asked (and we listened!) that we mention ahead that our cooking facilities include only microwaves, toasters and kettles. If you're looking to cook up a feast, we've got two other hostels in Vancouver (Downtown and Jericho Beach) with really impressive kitchens.
We know you care about security, too, and that's why you'll find your own backpack-sized locker in your dorm. When you don't have to worry about your stuff, you can really start enjoying yourself.
So that's our story: fun, secure, comfortable, clean, and can we just put in one more plug for the Granville Street nightlife?
We can’t wait to meet you!

| Excellent location, excellent staff, super clean BUT don't forget: B.C. stands for "bring cash". Vancouver is an expensive place no matter where you are from.... BC, BC, BC. | ||

| Being a new visitor from Auckland, New Zealand, though I have searched in websites before arriving in Vancouver, BC, Canada, my two nights stay in HI Vancouver Central, a vibrant city, is a rewarding experience, the staff's kind, patience and warm professional/friendly in dealing with my questions on how to go from one place to another helped me so much that I achieved my bucket list of places visited. You made my stay so worthy that I recommended it to my friends and people I met. Especial mention of staff Kitty de Souza, Terry, you are doing a good job and keep it up as your knowledge, expertise and experience would take further to other cities of Hostel International. Staff makes a huge difference to welcome a tired new visitor of not knowing what to do, the time of mind and body adjustment and time differences from one country to another. I salute you all! | ||

| I got tricked by your website. I bought a HI Membership at home figuring it'd apply once I got to Canada for the $5 dorm night. I didn't realize (and have no idea how I was supposed to realize) that the $5 dorm night deal only applied if I bought the membership there. Hostel response: | ||

| Free Breakfast, Free Wireless, and Free Night are the best choices on our limited budget. We've enjoyed staying there. It's very convenient for everything in travelling around Vancouver Downtown. Much thanks for the help and information from some of the staff. They are really friendly and helpful. Anyway, Thank you so much. Hostel response: | ||

| Some of the younger day staff weren't particularly approachable/friendly. They seemed more pre occupied doing their personal work on the computers.
The night lady was particularly good as was the manager.
Central/common areas were over heated. From an Eco perspective the temp should be reduced to about 21C.
Plesant stay overall, great location and breakfast is a bonus.
If one could get a fully working kitchen (including stove etc) it would be even better. | ||
