Customer Reviews HI - San Diego - Point Loma

| The staffs are so welcoming and helpful! The facilities are good, the rooms are pleasant to stay and comfy, except for a little noise from the road and flights. It's not so convenient to get around if you want to use public transportation, cuz you always need to transfer at old town or down down and that waste some time. But the neighborhood is so pretty and peaceful, so it makes up for that! | ||

| This is only my second time staying in a hostel, so there is not much to base the review from, but the stay was completely wholesome and enjoyable! | ||

| When I arrived Stacy not only checked me in, she showed me where everything was, we made sure my room key worked, and she answered all my questions. I was very impressed with the staff's hospitality overall. There was also an ample supply of clean towels in all of the bathrooms that made cleaning up easy. I would highly recommend this hostel to other travelers. | ||

| This was my second stay at this location. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Overall property in good condition compared to some hostels; maybe it's just me but things can always be cleaner. Again, better than most.

| Loved my stay! Was over in the Point Loma HI for a night but I live nearby and plan to make this my go-to place for weekend getaways.
Great For: Nature-Lovers, Laid-back folks, Families, Bicyclists, and Beach bums.
Less Great For: Hardcore partiers. Note the curfew and rules. For partying, I'm sure the GasLight HI or the one closer to the beach has more of that atmosphere. The buses don't run too late to this area, so don't bank on getting to Gaslight by public transportation to party.
Bonus Pros: Awesome thick mattresses, hot water no problems, very clean sheets and towels, cool breakfast and cheap dinners, groceries 3 minutes' walk, beach 25 minutes' walk, free easy parking.

| Even being in the flight plan for the airport, I found Point Loma to be a much quieter neighborhood than anywhere downtown at night. Hostel response: | ||

| I've stayed here a total of 2 weeks in the past month. The only negative comments I have are
1) the staff moved me out of a room I was in because of some vague complaint from someone, without discussing it with me first
2) stuff does not seem to get fixed in a timely manner (guest fridge, dishwasher, overhead light in dorm room were not working during the entire time). Fridge space was very limited; if the place had been full, it would have been a big problem. Hostel response:

| Our car was broken into when we parked on the street just around the corner from the hostel for our 1 night stay. Tools, sporting equipment, loose change & some electronic (unusable) cables taken. Not satisfied! Hostel response: | ||
