Located midway between Cleveland and Akron, the Stanford Hostel sits in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Built in 1843 by George Stanford, this Greek Revival farmhouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. Activities and programs are available at the hostel and in the park. Trails for biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing start just yards from the hostel. Downhill skiers have a one-mile trip to Boston Mills Ski Resort or a three-mile trip to Brandywine Ski Area. Also nearby is Blossom Music Center, summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra. The Bikecentennial Maine-to-Iowa Bike Route is five miles away. Drive to Cleveland to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, visit Akron's Inventure Place, or go to a water park (just three miles away).

22 miles south of Cleveland. From I-80 (Ohio Trnpike), take exit #180 south on Ohio Rte 8 for ¼ mile, take right (west) on Boston Mills Rd. 3 miles, turn right on Stanford Rd., hostel is ½ mile north on the right. From I-271, exit south on Ohio Rte 8, go south 3 miles, turn right on Boston Mills Rd, right on Stanford Rd. From I-77, exit I-80 (Ohio Turnpike), exit Ohio Rte 21, turn right 3/4 mile turn left on Boston Mills Rd, right on Stanford Rd.
