I liked everything, great location, public transportation nearby and everything. It would be nice that guests would come to breakfast wearing shoes and not barefoot, this is the only thing I didn't like it,otherwise had a great time.

HI Hostel in Santa Monica was really worth the money. Santa Monica is quite far away from L.A down town and the easiest way is to have your own car. But the hostel has a great location if you want to explore Venice Beach and Santa Monicas variety of shops and peer.

Wi-Fi connection was very very POOR. It was not at all connecting from my room/floor. I had to go the lower level common room. The carpets were smelling and I could smell the same room's smell from my baggage even after reaching my home back in India (!). Please do carpet washing as frequently as needed.

Hostel response:
The wifi hasn't been extended throughout the whole building YET...but we are in the process of improving it. We just cleaned all of the carpets in the rooms, but it sounds like we need to get to the room you were in soon. Thanks for all of your comments.

The hostel is wonderfull however the recepcionists are not very friendly, do not talk about map & directions, just to show us the bill, breakfast time and room number. I hope more when I arrived the hostel because all the things are very good!!!

Hostel response:
I'm sorry you weren't given more information at check-in...most people are so tired when they check in that the staff doesn't want to overload them but it sounds like you would have preferred to receive alot more.

Breakfast could have been better, i couldn't eat most foods due to wheat allergy; more fruit and egg options or even having soy milk would help. Please put doors on showers n hooks to place things, it's really awkward to undress without curtain flying open, somehow put clothes on outside hooks and get dressed without people seeing you naked. My locker was really gross and dirty too. Lovely big hostel, great location.

Hostel response:
Thank you for all of your great suggestions and comments.
