Unable to get lock on parking lock open, the code did not work, before 6:30AM. I attempted to leave early at 5:30AM. much frustration attempting the code on the locks, then after 45 minutes to find someone who could unlock the gate and let me drive out. Otherwise Great staff and facility.

I appreciate the location for it's access to San Pedro cultural sites, such as the Cabrillo Marine Museum and the port of LA's Maritime Museum. The staff was great; the accommodations as good as any HI I've stayed. There's no concern about security from the outside; the staff were cool in a good way.

Improved wifi would be appreciated. Even in the kitchen area the speed was sad and getting a connection in the dorms was futile.

Wonderful location, nice staff. This is perhaps my favorite hostel during my bike trip from Seattle to Mexico. (Pt Reyes, Marin, Santa Monica, Pigeon Point, South Bay).

Three persons in a two bed room is UNSATISFACTORY. Could use lockers for secured storage.
