HI Honolulu is situated in a quiet residential area near the University of Hawaii in the Manoa Valley. There are bars and restaurants nearby as well as hiking trails to Manoa Falls.
This hostel offers separate men and women dormitory style accommodations with shared bathrooms and showers. There are also a few private rooms available with shared bathrooms. We can provide for a maximum of 43 guests. Other facilities include a fully equipped self-service kitchen, on-site laundry facility, Internet access, and a TV and lounge area. The best room in the house is the patio enclosed by a stone wall, under coconut and other native trees. E komo mai! (Welcome!)

| Bus: | Take Bus #19 or #20 eastbound from Honolulu International Airport (HNL) to Ala Moana Shopping Center, then transfer to #6 or #18 heading to University/Manoa and get off at the corner of Metcalf St. & University Ave. Walk one block north (toward the mountains) up University Ave. and turn left on Seaview Ave. The hostel is at the end of a long driveway on your left. |

| Close by bus station. Room is clean and tidy. You need to take off your shoes when you enter the kitchen or your room. Staff friendly, there will be no staff between 12 and 4pm. | ||

| A very nice hostel close to the University. The hostel is a good one hour walk away from the beaches and lively Waikiki, but in a quiet neighbourhood and well connected via the bus system. Facilities are clean and well maintained. There is a well equipped kitchen. Only issue: the wifi connection was shaky, especially for Apple users. | ||

Outdoor eating on the lanai is a nice experience.
Parking on the street is difficult but was able to find on couple nights but I also
was able to park in the driveway too. It's first come first and there are only two spots. | ||

| Excellent stay! slightly further from Waikiki then I thought - but excellent bus service! You can also get a 4 day bus pass at any ABC location in Waikiki. Beautiful setting within the hostel, great kitchen setup and VERY quiet and clean. | ||
