1) I'd like to see the hostel invest in more comfortable mattresses. You can feel the springs in these ones. 2) One of the good points of this hostel is that there is no TV. I've seen many hostels ruined by television. When the TV is on, all conversation stops. Thanks for keeping this hostel TV-free!

An ideal base form which to explore the nearby National Park & Historic Site. Even Gettysburg is not so far away. I would like to come back and explore some of the bicycle trails. Very friendly and helpfull staff ... and the pancakes keep you going all day!

Craig and Katie are simply terrific hosts. And frankly I think the brochure photos on HI Harpers Ferry don't do justice to the beauty of the setting. My daughter and I had a terrific and inexpensive long week-end there.

Riding a loaded touring bike up the half mile hill to the hostel (from the C&O) was a killer! Other than that, this was a good hostel. I really really liked the cold, air-conditioned sleeping dorms.

On top of a hill on the Maryland side. Not convient to get to by bicycle, but a nice yard for camping or relaxing out of doors.
