| I was really impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. I also was very appreciative of the person who cleaned upstairs and found my favorite pencil/pen, which I had accidently left in my room. She went out of her way to return it to me. How honest and how thoughtful! | ||

| Great hostel if you want to be downtown in Halifax. I didn't get a great impression when I first checked in but that impression improved as time went on. Friendly travellers and some friendly front desk staff.. some just didn't care! | ||

| I stayed at Hi-Halifax numerous times on my recent trip and loved it. The hostel was a great home away from home. It had a relaxed vibe with very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were great. Best laundry around!! The kitchen and dining area arrangement enabled interaction between travellers if they wanted or allowed for privacy. Except for a rattling blind on one stay and a very squeeky bed another time I loved the place and would not hesitate to return there. | ||

| actually changed to a 2 night stay before I got there, the staff were helpful with this and had a reply to the change of plans within 4 hours. Although only a short stay the staff made you feel welcome and were very helpful with the couple of questions put to them. | ||
