Enjoy the springtime maple syrup and ramp festivals, summertime fiddlers conventions, and fall foliage events. Friday night music at the historic Rex theater, or bring your musical instruments and use the hostel music room. A short hike to the Blue Ridge Music Center to hear traditional southern Appalachian music.

| Location: | On the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile 214½ Entrance is on the left going south or the right going north. Mileposts are located each mile. Look for gray iron-pipe gate, blacktop driveway. Entrance on curve, in trees, go slow. From I-77 (NC): exit 100, go west on 89 about 15 miles, right onto Blue Ridge Parkway. Go north 1 mile to hostel entrance on right. From I-77 (VA): exit Fancy Gap, follow signs to Blue Ridge Parkway. Go south to mile 214½. Hostel entrance on left. From Galax: go south on 89 about 7 miles. Turn left onto Blue Ridge Parkway. Go north 1 mile to hostel entrance on right side. |
