| Overall, the hostel is very good. Everyone gets a private room, which is very nice. Lots to see and good community. Very short walk to farmer's market. | ||

| It was difficult to arrive before the hostel closed for the night but the staff member stayed late and unpaid just for us!
We wanted to stay there again but, once again, could not complete the huge drive before the doors closed. | ||

| I've never stayed in a hostel with exclusively single rooms, but I must say I liked it. Privacy for that price is a godsend. | ||

| Friendly staff. Nice of him to give us 2 large private rooms for 5 people for the same price. Can't believe I slept for more than 9 hours. | ||

| This was a great hostel--best one I've stayed at in Canada. Top-notch value for money. | ||

| The hostel overbooked for the period I was interested in, and so canceled my reservation at a very inconveniently late date. Indeed, it took more than two months for them to alert me to this problem. The head office in London (UK) was quick in refunding me my deposit, and assured me that they would look into what they recognized as an unacceptable situation. The Atlantic office in Halifax, and the national office in Ottawa, acknowledged receipt of my complaint, but never provided a substantive response of any kind. It was, overall, a deeply disappointing experience with HI-Fredericton, and the regional and national offices demonstrated no real interest in addressing the situation. | ||

| Shame on the people who manage the HI site that takes fees over the registration when there is another HI site without those fees. Stop sucking money out of us. | ||
