Surrounded by three acres of wooded land in a quiet rural area, the newly renovated cabins of HI Eastham are only a short distance from the wide, white sandy beaches of Cape Cod. The main building has a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals and a large dining area. The Eastham Hostel also has private cabins with a double bed and three singles, as well as, coed dormitory cabins. Breakfast, wifi access and parking are all free. All bed linens and a bath towel are included in the overnight rate.
Bicycle and kayak rentals are available in town and at the beach. Cyclists can pedal down the nearby Cape Cod Rail Trail, a 30-mile bike path that attracts thousands of visitors each year. The hostel also offers group packages that include surfing and kayaking excursions.

Street Map and Route Planning
Directions
| Bus: | [from Hyannis or Provincetown, take the Plymouth & Brockton bus to the Orleans rotary. (Do not go to Eastham!) When you board the bus, tell the driver you need to get off on the Orleans rotary (roundabout) at the Rock Harbor exit; drivers will do this during daylight hours. From the rotary, turn left onto Rock Harbor Road. Then turn right onto Bridge Road. Turn right onto Goody Hallet Drive. The hostel driveway will be on your left. The walk from the rotary to the hostel is about 0.75 mi (~1.2 km). If you will arrive by bus, it is critical that you arrive before dark as the walk to the hostel is along a road with no sidewalk. It is certainly safe to walk to the hostel, but only during full daylight. (There is no taxi service in Orleans.) Leave Hyannis on the 4:30pm bus (or earlier). To make that connection: leave Boston on the Plymouth & Brockton bus by 2:15pm or New York City on the 9:30am Peter Pan bus. |
| Parking: | At hostel |
| Sea port: | Hyannis. Take the Plymouth & Brockton bus to Orleans, or drive. See above directions. |
| Location: | Take Sagamore or Bourne Bridge onto Cape Cod, follow Rt. 6 past exit 12. At the Orleans rotary (roundabout) take the third exit, signed Rock Harbor. Turn left onto Rock Harbor Road and then take the first right, onto Bridge Road. Again, take the first right, onto Goody Hallet Drive. The hostel will be on the left. |
| Airport: | Boston: 100 miles. Take Sagamore Bridge onto Cape Cod, follow route 6 past exit 12. At the next rotary, go 3/4 of the way around and get off at Rock Harbor. Make a left onto Rock Harbor Road and then take the first right onto Bridge Rd. Again, take the first right onto Goody Hallet Drive (small road). The hostel will be on the left. |

| The staff is wonderful, cheerful, and helpful, and the breakfasts quite generous. The location is delightful, very private and quiet. But the cabins are very rustic, the beds squeak every time someone turns, and the bathrooms are in the main building, which means you have to leave the cabin to use the bathroom at night--very inconvenient! The "lounge" is also uninviting and uncomfortable. I know it's the Cape where everything is expensive, but given the lack of comfort, this hostel is overpriced. | ||

| I'm very glad that this hostel was not lost in the brouhaha a ocuple of years ago. It is just the right distance from Provincetown for a comfortable bike ride when arriving on the ferry from Boston in midafternoon. The hostel has been nicely refurbished. | ||
