Located at the half way point of the Cabot Trail, surrounded by the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, the hostel is ideally situated for moose spotting and hiking the many trails offered in this 1000 square kilometre reserve. Walking distance to beach, shops, whale watching, restaurants, museum and harbour. Scenic views of the mountains. During the fishing season walk down to the harbour and purchase fresh lobsters or snow crab from the fishermen.

| Bus: | Please contact us for information on shuttle buses and Acadian Lines services. The closest drop off locations are in Baddeck and Whycocomagh. Salty Bear Adventure Travel offers 3 and 5 day tours in the area spending two nights with us and also offers hop-on hop-off transportation when available. |
