Can't fault this hostel at all. It was awesome. Great staff, super clean, and a good price. Can't ask for more. The free bus pass was a great bonus, although I didn't use it much as the walk down into town was lovely.

I was arriving late, around 9:30 at night, and the staff were able to confirm that they would keep my room and I would not lose my reservation. I ended up cancelling my second night and was able to do it when I checked in on the first night. No problems, and very friendly service at the front desk.

The Banff Alpine Centre was the most amazing hostel I've stayed at in my 4 months of travelling. The rooms and spacious and cosy, they have everything you need. You get a good wifi signal everywhere you go which is good if you rely on it for contact. The people who work there and friendly and helpful, the girl at the front desk allowed me to check in at 10am because my room was ready, which I was very happy about. Overall the hostel has a great vibe about it, definitely recommended :)

I really liked having the bus pass, although the walk from the hostel to town was very pleasant.

I really enjoyed my stay at HI Banff. However, I did think it a little silly that if you booked through a site like hostelboookers, you'd get a free pancake breakfast. Since I booked direct I didn't get this.

I loved HI Banff. The location is great, either route to the hostel is amazing. Banff is a great little town, so much to do! View from the hostel is great. Our 4-bed dorm was nice with the ensuite toilet. There were plenty of showers in the hallway. The lounge in the second building was lovely, those high ceilings are nice. Internet connection wasn't reliable in the second building for some reason. Kitchen should be opened after 11. You can't even get a drink from the fridge. HI Banff was such a relieve after HI Jasper. Hope to come here again. By the way, the blonde girl at reception was cute. :)
