Falkängen crafts village in Hällekis lies at the foot of Kinnekulle. In a restored mill environment with carefully renovated house will find a picturesque crafts village. This is where craftspeople from around the country and exhibiting their works throughout the summer.
The village is from the turn of the century and was for the workmen employed at the mill. The houses were many and large families and the place was once a bustling residential environment. This crafts village is also the youth hostel housed in the old craft houses. The apartments in the craft house is newly renovated, bright and cheerful. The unique environment has been preserved and the street looks like a hundred years ago.
The best hostel is perhaps close to the magnificent outdoors. Whole Kinnekulle is like one big park and is perfect for exploring. Here you can rent a bike and enjoy Kinnekulle nature up close. You can also rent a canoe and paddle to your own bay or island.
