Situated on the ridge of the Erzgebirge mountains 800m above sea level, Grumbach is part of the town of Jöhstadt. The youth hostel is an old mill in a quiet location on the edge of a forest. Close by there is a nature trail with herb garden. In 2005 the YH was certified as a place for environmental studies. In winter the hostel is a popular base for winter sports (ski classes available).
People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.
Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);
Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;
Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).
