Grong Hostel is located at Namdals Folk High School, within a walking distance to the centre of Grong. The hostel has 36 rooms, all without ensuite facilities, with 1-5 beds in the room. Breakfast is served with an extra charge. But guests are welcome to use our guest kitchen. A lounge is available for our guests. Guest computer and wireless internet connection is free of charge.
Many people enjoy a stopover at Grong driving from/to south and north of Norway. The area is known for its salmon fishing. Namsskogan Family Park is a great experience for the kids. Namdalen have a very varied landscape with high mountains, forests, coastal and cultural landscapes.

| Location: | Grong is located 200 km north from Trondheim and 200 km south of Mosjøen. Arriving at the hostel by car - Leave the E6 at Grong, over the bridge and into the Grong village. Go past Vertshuset (on left hand side), then left by the gas station (Hydro/Texaco), left again (behind Vertshuset), follow 180 degree turn, keep right (straight, in fact) and climb the hill up to Namdals folkehogskole/Grong Vandrerhjem (hostel). Entering the campus area, turn left again and then right - and now you should be in front of the reception (big green/gray concrete building). |
