I thought the location of Grinton Lodge was superb. I have stayed at 2 other youth hostels in the dales and this was by far the best interms of all the above aspects. I still think the price gernally of youth hostelling is quite steep compared to staying in a travel lodge where you would only pay a similar price and have own facitilites. I would though stay in this youth hostel again and have certainly recommended it to my friends.
