| Good experience, but my double room in the western wing smelled of cleaning detergent. I was VERY uncomfortable breathing it in. Can you please ask the housekeepers to use a less pungent solution?
I don't plan to go back. | ||

| It was far from the train station and the info to get to the hostel is not good. We've found rats in the common room... Which puts your mind to wonder if there aren't more in the rooms. Moreover, there are no lockers in the rooms, so you never know if your stuff will be there when you wake up. | ||

| The maid who cleaned the rooms was abrupt and impatient with us, as was the matronly brunette who worked the kitchen. They both spoke to us as if we were young teens misbehaving (which we were not). The location is awful. It is 1hr and 10mins walk from central Grenoble. The bus which is convenient and quick stops service at 8pm. Given that there is no bar at the hostel, one has no opportunities to "go out" at night. It's a rural, sedate retreat center. If you want to relax in quiet surroundings, go here.

| Very friendly welcome, big plate special in bar very good,as is two euros a pint for beer. Fifteen mins bus ride from city center The bar is closed at weekends and the last bus back from the city center is at about quarter to nine(not the hostels fault)so best to go out for food early if poss. Breakfast is quite simple (cereal, baguette slices, cheese spread etc)although you can eat as much as you like. The dorm I was in was quite small and simple but that's hosteling.
All in all, its a nice hostel to stay in while enjoying the mountains and / or the city. Hostel response: | ||
