| Booked a dorm without realising the dorm rooms are in the converted stable block not the gorgeous manor shown in photos. Room was small but had a sink in the room which was nice, and well equipped kitchen. Beautiful location. | ||

| From the outside, and also in the dining area, the hostel is really cool. Problematic from my point of view is, that the parking space is far, far away (OK, at least there is one) and that the house (Howe, but also the main building) smelled extremely like mould. The dorm was, in comparison to e.g. Aberdeen or Glen Nevis (Fort William) tiny. But still better than Broadford. Grasmere / Lakeland - you have to like it, it is no place where I will return. I'll stay in the Highlands the next time. But the Gingerbread in Grasmere is definitly a must try. | ||
