Customer Reviews Glencoe SYHA
| 04 May 2013 Olivier, Belgium | 60% | |
| The hostel is located in a quiet location in the middle of the Glen Coe valley, with all major hiking trails within reach. Rooms, kitchen and sanitary are all modern and clean. The atmosphere at the hostel is rather calm, as you only have the kitchen and a quiet room as shared areas. Staff was not too friendly and was unable to answer basic questions, eg. about things to see and do in the neighborhood. Administration and follow-up was horrible: eg. breakfast needs to be pre-paid the night before, but registration of the payment goes wrong all the time. We ended up having several discussions about it and even being charged twice for the same breakfast! If you want to avoid leaving the hostel with a sour feeling like we did, make sure to always ask for a receipt. | ||

| amazing location, although quite far out the village. Self-catering kitchen was by far the best I've ever seen/used in a hostel. | ||

Very good dry room and bike lock up.
However, the breakfast was terrible and not worth the money!
No lock on dorm door.
