Come and visit us in Gjøvik, and experience the charming contrast between urban and rural cultures and settings – the exciting, dynamic buzz of the city and the peace and quiet of harmonious country surroundings. Gjøvik is located just 2 hours with train/car north of Oslo and only 40 minutes from Lillehammer on the west side of Lake Mjøsa! Blessed with beautiful and virgin nature, the area offers a wide range of events and activities for young and old, summer and winter.

The hostel is located near the city-centre, only a 10 minutes walk from the railway station. The rooms are new and comfortable 4-bedded rooms, with TV and free wireless Internet. Our 2-3 bedded rooms also have private facilities. From the dining area you have a georgious view to the area Fastland and Gjøvik town. Our common areas has a welcoming atmosphere, and we also offer meeting- and group rooms with modern equipment. Breakfast is included in the price, and for other meals you are welcome to use our guest kitchen. We offer lunch and dinner for our groups.

The area Fastland invites you to go swimming, play tennis, play sandvolleyball, go on the skate ramp or to do a hiking trip. Close to the hostel you will also find the Olympic Mountain Hall where you can go skating summer and winter on the ice. I

In the winter time there are cross country trials and alpine slopes just outside the door.

Sights in Gjøvik: Gjøvik Olympic Mountain Hall, art exhibitions, and boat trip with Skibladner, the world´s oldest paddle steamer in use.
