Geilo is a mountain town that offers many summer activities like mountain walking, fishing and other outdoor activities. Geilo is one of Norway's best winter sports centres with excellent alpine and cross-country facilitie. The right place for an active holiday! The hostel is located in the Bestemor- and Gommehuset. Both these buildings have a common room with television. Bestemorhuset ("The Grandmahouse") has a sauna.

| We really enjoyed our stay and would have stayed a few extra nights if we could have, best place we've stayed in Norway so far. Staff particularly helpful and friendly, and knew their stuff! Highly recommended. | ||

| I'm not sure where the other people who were complaining about this hostel were talking about. The rooms and linen were clean and even though we were in a room below ground, it was fine. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only problem with this place is that it is two km walk from the train station. That's ok if you have transport but if you have a big pack on and decide to walk, it's quite a hike. Other than the location, an excellent experience here. | ||
