The youth hostel on the city’s outer green belt is great if you want to experience all the excitement Hamburg has to offer. The hostel benefits from excellent bus and train links with a bus stop on our doorstep, ideal for exploring the city and its surroundings with Hamburg’s local transport network (Hamburger Verkehrsverbund - HVV).

| Bus: | By coach or car: A25 until the end of the motorway just before Geesthacht, coming from south B404 from Lüneburg over the Elbe bridge. |
| Location: | The youth hostel is located on the eastern outskirts of town. |
| Rail: | Train to Hamburg central station, then Bus #120, 31 or E31 to central bus station Geesthacht. From there walk back to junction, then turn right into B5, walk for approx 1km on this road. |
