Here at Gällnö life can be descibed as one of peace and tranquility. Gällnö is a genuine island with large, open pastures and grazing animals. lush meadows and pastures mixed with forest and dotted with rocks and beaches. Gällnö is for those who want to experience how the archipelago was once, with well-preserved buildings and open spaces.There is one functioning farm who’s cows graze around nearly the entirity of the island. Only About 30 people live year-round on Gällnö. We hope that you will enjoy your stay with us!

| Location: | Gällnö is a island located about one and a half hour from central Stockholm out in the archipelago The easiest way to come to Gällnö is to take Waxholmsbolagets boats that depart daily from Strömkajen in Stockholm or the Cinderella boats that depart from Strandvägen at the Grand Hotel. You can also get here by publictransport or by private car to Boda brygga in Värmdölandet where Waxholmsbolagets boats also depart from. Once at the steamboatdock on Gällnö expect a 15 minute beautiful walk to Gällnö By farthest into Hemfladen. If you come with your own boat, we have two guest docks that are available to our guests. The depth is 180-200 cm, so small boats can enter. We hope you understand that we have limited moorings, and space is reserved for the shop, café and bar’s customers. If there is space available then it is possible to moor overnight for a fee. Please Call before to ensure that we can accomodate you. |
