Situated in North Friesland on the western coast of Schleswig-Holstein between the rivers Eider and Treene, Friedrichstadt was founded in 1621 by the Dutch. Canals running through the picturesque town give it a definite Dutch flair. The harmonious townscape never fails to impress visitors.
