Serenity reigns over this beautiful little village, which has an exciting history and is close to the famous flight of locks in Berg along Göta Canal. The hostel offers peace and quiet, yet is still close to the pulse of the big city.

Several buildings make up the hostel. The main hostel building was originally a village school then an auction house for furniture and bric-a-brac. Today it offers accommodation in newly renovated rooms each with their own shower and toilet.

There’s horseback riding on the neighbouring farm, and the hostel organises barbecue nights with a mile-long view across rolling plains and spectacular sunsets. You can also rent a bicycle or visit one of the oldest monasteries in Sweden, Vreta Kloster. Or why not experience the plains of Östergötland on foot? The Birgittaleden trail runs past the hostel, just a few hundred metres away.
