A small town in the east of the Erzgebirge mountains dating back 800 years, Frauenstein has been a holiday resort for 100 years. The town boasts many attractions such as the ruins of the castle that can be spotted from far, the Gottfried-Silbermann-Museum and a 150km network of walks and cycle paths through large woods and unspoilt nature. The youth hostel is on the outskirts of town in a wooded area, 10 min from the centre. In winter you’ll find cross-country tracks right outside our door. People of 27 years or over pay a surcharge of €3 per night.
Surcharge for single and twin rooms p. p. p. n. (subject to availability): Single: €10 Twin: €4 (doesn’t apply to group guides);
Rebate for children: Up to 2 years free of charge, 3 – 13 years 30% rebate;
Group rebate: For a group of 20 paying customers another one totally free (accommodation, sheets and meals at the YH).
