The Haus der Jugend Hostel is located just 1km from the old city centre, it's close to Frankfurt's opera house, museums, music clubs and restaurants. There is capacity for 436 guests and facilities include internet access, TV and meals.

We proud ourselves to be one of the most beautiful and international hostels in Germany, open 360 days a year (closed during Christmas). In our Cafeteria you can meet people from around the world speaking all sorts of languages. More than half of the 50,000 people staying here every year come from abroad.

The Frankfurt hostel has 440 beds and offers a range of different rooms - from our large dorms, the most economical accommodation in town, to our en suite single and double rooms.

Our Kitchen provides an international buffet and our conference rooms with space for 15 – 400 people are very popular indeed.

So, if you need a budget bed, a delicious dinner, a conference room with state of the art technology or just want to spend a short break in Frankfurt, you’re willkommen – welcome – bienvenue – bienvenido…

they have an excellent breakfast.

As commented below the hostel is big and unfortunately does have large groups of hyper active schools children arriving in the middle of the night. Who then proceed to run around making lots of noise and playing loud ‘music’. The hostel seemed to have no control over this (unlike Munich who did). A shame really as otherwise the hostel is modern, clean and has a good breakfast. Frankfurt itself is worth a one day/night visit only.

I did not enjoy my stay because there were some extremely noisy kids who were shouting all night long which meant I hardly got any sleep. Plus someone came into the room at 1am and turned the light on. For there to be so much noise this made me feel quite unsafe and although the room was good value, if you can't sleep the value for money is pointless!

This time our stay was very badly organised from hostel side. Many misunderstandings for the booking which was made already long time ago to assure we get a proper room for only our group. People at the reception do not know what the people at the reservation have done. The worst was the last night when we came into our room and some other people were already sleeping in our beds..

I wish hostel had a good working wi-fi. As an international guests, that is one of the most important means to stay connected with the world.

The information on the website didn't clarify that the private room did not have attached bathroom.
